Police Prosecutor Denise Griffith told the court that investigations into the matter had been completed but advice is still to be solicited from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to decide on the application of the Administration of Justice Act (AJA) to the matter.

The accused were then ordered to return to court on July 27 for reports and reassignment in their matter.

On April 27, Ramlal, 58, of 2 Bel Air and McLean, 74, of 77 Forshaw Street were not required to plead to the indictable charge of conspiracy to commit a felony when they were read to them by the Acting Chief Magistrate.

It is alleged that on December 10, 2004 and March 18, 2009 at George-town, with intent to defraud, Ramlal and McLean conspired with each other and a person or persons unknown to forge an adoption order with respect to a child, purporting to show that the said adoption order was issued on December 14, 2000, knowing same to be false.
