Dear Editor,
Last week your newspaper carried stories of the Lethem flooding, and I was attracted to the photograph with the children hustling by boat to sit the CSEC examination. They should all have been traumatized with the rising floodwaters together with some evacuation, yet they are off to examinations where their future would be decided.
Does the local examination body not have a regional plan for certain disasters to permit students to sit their exams on another day and under some form of supervision to protect the integrity of the question papers?
Yours faithfully,
