(Trinidad Express) Angelo Bissesarsingh has passed away. The beloved historian, researcher, author and national treasure died at his home in Siparia yesterday morning. His passing is being mourned across the world. But friends and fans are also celebrating his life’s work, and legacy.
Bissessarsingh was 34 years old. He was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer in 2015, and given only months to live. He defied death to complete several books, and make it to the Indepen-dence Day national awards ceremony last September where he was awarded the Hummingbird Medal Gold.
Bissessarsingh was the curator of the Virtual Museum of T&T online site, where his every historical discovery was greeted with awe and gratitude.
