A 15-year-old cyclist was killed on Monday morning in a collision with a motor car.
Dead is Darnley Braithwaite of Number 10 Village, West Coast Berbice.
According to a police press release, the driver of car PKK 4409 said he was motoring along the roadway when the pedal cyclist rode out from a yard onto the road and collided with his vehicle. The cyclist was taken to the Fort Wellington Hospital where he died while receiving medical attention.
Police are investigating the matter.
