What has happened to the Literature Prize awards?

Dear Editor

What has become of the Guyana Literature Prize Awards for 2006?

The invitation for submissions was issued around June/July 2006, and the deadline was 31st August 2006.

Four months have now elapsed, and we are now in 2007.

I am naturally interested in the Judges’ findings.

My entry The Condensed Tale Pipe comprises eight short stories, which are set in the sugar-factories of Guyana.

I did receive, in December 2006, an acknowledgement letter from the Guyana Prize Secretariat, which however, was dated September 2006.

Yours faithfully,

Josh Ragnauth
