Dear Editor,
In her response to my letter, Ms Inge Nathoo of the National Parks Commission states that there is no burning of rubbish next to arrival benab at Kaieteur Falls. Yet, my original letter was sent with a photograph which clearly showed the burnt pile of rubbish and scattered trash next to the benab. Was this shown to Ms. Nathoo?
Also, I apologize to Ms Nathoo for not having photographs of the cleared forest so that she may address that problem. I can only say that it is the area inside a bend of the river, across from the landing that is upstream from the falls, and is roughly semi-circular in shape.
Finally, I have to ask if anyone can identify the body responsible for the maintenance of Orinduik Falls, so I may properly address my concerns about that site to them.
Yours faithfully,
(name and address supplied)
