Dear Editor,
We felt a mixture of joy and emotion for this Hindu icon Shri Prakashji or Guruji as he is commonly called by his ardent followers when he was accepting a proclamation from the Congressmen of the city of New York and best wishes from a number of highly recognized organizations including GOPIO and ICC and well wishers for taking up a mandate he was offered to serve the people of Guyana in the capacity as advisor to the president.
Shri Rrakash Gossai is a father, a brother, a teacher and a guru, actually he is everything to many that follow him at the Bhuvaneshwar Mandir in New York.
Whenever one goes to mandir including myself, we look forward to his presence since he would change the mood to soothe the mind with his melodious voice in singing and chanting.
Him being away will be a daunting moment for a lot, since he will only rarely be at the mandir after taking up his appointment, nonetheless, we wish him the best in his capacity as advisor and hope that he not only make Bhuvaneshwar mandir a shining-star but Guyana as well.
