Acting Chief Magistrate Cecil Sullivan yesterday remanded to prison an 18-year-old man accused of having carnal knowledge of a 14-year-old girl.
According to the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court report Kumar La Cruz, of 24 Bush Lot, Essequibo, between August 1, 2006 and January 3, 2007 allegedly knew the girl carnally. La Cruz was not required to plead to the charges.
He was ordered to appear at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court on January 30.
