Acting Chief Magistrate Cecil Sullivan remanded to prison a man accused of larceny when he yesterday appeared to answer to the charge at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
Andre Grimes, 33, of 34 Craig Street, pleaded not guilty to the charges of larceny from the dwelling house and simple larceny.
According to the facts of the case Grimes, on December 29, at Campbellville, entered Karen Simon’s dwelling house and stole jewellery and a cellular phone, all to the total value of $545,000. Also, on January 5, at the same location, he allegedly stole an amplifier valued at $20,000.
Grimes was ordered to appear at court on February 8.
