There should be no price hike for brown sugar -Guysuco

The Guyana Sugar Corporation (Guysuco) Inc. is advising consumers that brown sugar is zero-rated and as such does not attract Value Added Tax (VAT). A release from the corporation said therefore, there would be no increase in the price of brown sugar to the wholesaler and as a consequence there should be no increase in price to the consumer.
