Dear Editor,
I wish to express my deep concern as a parent over the death of little Basmatti Seecharan of Parika, East Bank, Essequibo who was raped, beaten in the head and strangled to death.
Most of all it is a very sad moment for the family to lose their loved one and the perpetrator(s) who has done that act should be charged and dealt with according to law.
The police need to be more proactive in their investigative efforts to ensure that these criminals are captured.
Parents should be more careful with their children.
