Acting Chief Magistrate Cecil Sullivan yesterday refused bail to a 28-year-old man who allegedly had carnal knowledge of a 12-year-old girl over a two-month period last year.
Mark Baptiste, 28, of 132 Cato Street, Agricola was not required to plead to two carnal knowledge charges at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
It is alleged that between November 1 and 30 as well as on December 23, 2006 he had carnal knowledge of a girl below the age of 15 years. The girl is 12 years old. He will return to court on January 26.
