A cannon and cannonball were stolen from a government ministry early this month and the police are asking the public to be alert. An investigation has also been launched.
The police in a press release yesterday said an investigation has been launched into the theft of a three-and-a-half-foot metal cannon along with a cannonball from the Ministry of Public Works, Georgetown around January 5 this year.
Any information that can lead to the recovery would be appreciated, the police said.
