The founder and technical director of the Kokoro Ki Karada (KKK) mind-spirit-body International Organiz-ation of Martial Arts and Massotherapy, Dr. Stephen Michael Monasingh has taken martial arts to the next level by upgrading Guyana’s black belts in the Shin Kai Do (true way harmony) personal combat system.
The Guyanese instructors of the KKK (mind-spirit-body) organization are versed in martial arts such as Shotokan karate, Kyohus-hinkai karate, Taekwondo, Jui Jitsu, Aikido, Judo, Kendo and Wushu.
Achieving the grade of Third Dan senior black belt Sensei are Lancelot Wilkie, Sylvester De Castro and Antonio Yhan, while Abdool Nazim Yassim was appointed Fourth Dan junior master, and Christopher Norville and Roger Hinckson were given Fifth and Sixth Dan senior masters respectively.
Monasingh, in an interview, told Stabroek Sport yesterday that the six Dan masters are originally from different clubs but they are his associates and together they engage in the practice of Wooshu as well as Chinese boxing.
Junior Grandmasters of the organizations are Sakhria Mourad of Tunisia, North Africa and Paul Holley of the United States of America – both are Seventh Dan black belts.
A KKK press release said that the instructors and their grades are recognized internationally since General Manager Monasingh is a technical advisor and member of the Directorate of a number of World Martial Arts Organi-zations.
