Digicel is conducting a recruitment drive for customer care agents to join its newly installed, state-of-the-art centre in Georgetown.
The company, in a press release, said the recruitment drive comes as it prepares for an imminent launch and demonstrates its commitment to deliver on its reputation for excellent 24/7 customer care. Digicel Chief Executive Officer Tim Bahrani said the company is renowned for its superior customer care across the Caribbean and Guyana will be no different. He said the company has discovered a wealth of local talent who have exceeded expectations and it is “delighted to recruit locally” to ensure that customers receive first class mobile phone service.
Digicel said the growing local customer care team has been receiving intensive training in areas including how to be responsive to customers’ needs, to offer solutions customers value and to build strong relationships with customers based on honesty, respect and trust.
The company said more than 30 employees, 14 of whom are former U Mobile employees, are already in the middle of the six-week intensive training course with an additional 30 agents slated to join the team in the coming weeks. The company said the trainees are using the same technology solution used by other Digicel branches throughout the Caribbean.
Bahrani said training will be continuous as the company grows.
