Dear Editor,
I write regarding the misuse of one of the new cars given to the police recently. The car (number given) is stationed on the West Demerara.
Every morning at around 7:30a.m Monday to Friday, I see this car going to Georgetown being driven by a policeman, who returns back to the WCD about 8.00am with an officer seated.
My impression is that this car leaves the West Demerara and proceeds to Georgetown/ East Bank every morning just to pick up this senior police officer. I would presume this occurs in the afternoons as well.
This vehicle was also seen by me parked in front of a house at Greenwich Park for long periods on most Sundays.
This is abuse of the resources given to the Police from taxpayer’s money. Mr. Commissioner please respond and also take control of your resources!
Yours faithfully,
A. Khan
