Banks DIH said its success over the past 50 years is based on its relationships with shareholders and employees. Its statement came during meetings it recently hosted at its Essequibo and Linden branches.
A statement from the company said Managing Director Clifford Reis emphasized the important contributions that the outlying branches made towards the company’s overall profits and sought to bring stakeholders up to date with the company’s projections and developments.
Reis said the company’s 2007 theme “Embracing relationships” was chosen because its success is based on “a story of relationships” which have been embraced and sustained.
“Our company’s contribution to national development (is) by way of direct and indirect taxation paid: the dividends paid to shareholders, the salaries and benefits paid to employees, the investments in local and capital expenditure which impacted positively on our business partners,” he said. Reis told the stakeholders that the company’s relationships will help it to achieve its goals.
