Dear Editor,
As Aubrey Williams’s daughter I feel compelled to respond to the editorial in the Sunday Stabroek of February 11th entitled, simply, `Defacement’.
On reading it, I swiftly ran the gamut of the emotional spectrum, from fury through to resignation.
Essentially though, I find myself heartened and impressed at the level of passion and national pride embodied in the write-up, though simultaneously realising the irony in the one-step-forward, two-steps-back of “
