M&M Snackette and Fast Food has announced its sponsorship of the Third Class Cricket Association’s under-19 cricket team playing in the Georgetown Cricket Association’s competition now underway.
The sponsorship which is worth $100,000 is to be used for the team’s uniforms and other tournament related expenses.
Third Class originates from the third division that existed back in the 1970s and although its founders started at Grove on the East Bank of Demerara, the team, now with thirty registered members is based in Georgetown.
According to Secretary Shalim Baksh, the club fields teams in the Demerara Board second-division competition as well as the age group categories, and is in need of a practice facility.
