The National Inter-Secondary Schools Mashramani Fustal tournament scheduled to start today will now start on Tuesday.
According to the organiser, James Lewis, the tournament has been pushed back by one week as a result of government’s decision to extend until Sunday, the staging of the Colombian Trade Fair which is currently being held at the National Gymnasium, the venue for the tournament.
Over $600,000 in prizes, which include two Dell computers complete with flat screens, will be up for grabs in the tournament which will be contested on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The final is billed for March 31.
The computers will be awarded to the winning school and the Most Valuable Player. Over 60 schools from the 10 administrative regions are expected to field teams.
The sponsors are Chico Sweets, the National Sport Commission (NSC) Guyoil, Ansa McAl and Bank of Baroda.
