A young man who allegedly pretended to be a police officer in order to rob another man of his money was yesterday refused bail by Acting Chief Magistrate Cecil Sullivan at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
Anthony Grant, 21, of Meadow Brook Squatting Area pleaded not guilty to robbery under arms.
It is alleged that on February 9 at Georgetown being armed with a gun, Grant robbed Joel Davidson of $2,300 while pretending to be a policeman.
Police prosecutor Sherwin Matthews told the court that Grant is a repeat offender.
His case was transferred to Court Three for March 20.
