The joint services on Tuesday completed another round of training, aimed at equipping them to deal with issues that may arise during the Cricket World Cup (CWC).
According to a press release, 124 members of the joint services participated in exercises including brainstorming on security scenarios relevant to the hosting of large events. During the deliberations issues related to security at the stadium and the players’ security were fully ventilated and, at the conclusion of the exercise officers were more informed about their roles.
They were also given a lecture by the heads of the joint services.
The release said additional training is planned as officers continue to prepare for the CWC matches.
The exercise started at 7 am and was hosted at Camp Ayanganna.
