Mr Robin Williams’s letter captioned “The African cultural influence has been profound in many areas” (SN 20-02-07) was quite a mouthful lambasting my premise on distinct culture in Guyana.
The most convincing and penetrating statement in Mr Williams’ long epistle to support ‘distinct’ African culture in Guyana was, “There are an assortment of foods and their preparations, religious styles of worshipping, and endless other manifestations of the link between Africans in Guyana and the Americas, and West Africa
