Seven schools registered victories when play in the National Inter-Secondary Schools Futsal Tournament continued on Tuesday evening at the National Gymnasium.
In the opening encounter, Jason Sandiford recorded a treble that enabled his team Dolphin Secondary to register a 6-0 win over Zeeburg Secondary.
The other three goals came off the boots of D. Babb, G. Thompson and A. Fitzpatrick who scored one each.
In other results, St. Winifred’s CHS scored a 3-0 win against St. Barnabas. E. McKay tucked in a double, while S. Forte scored the other goal.
Freeburg Secondary edged President’s College 1-0 through a T. McKenzie goal.
Kingston CHS and North Georgetown played to a 2-2 draw. Scoring for Kingston were D. Harris and T. Alexander, while North Georgetown’s goals came through a double from D. Cadogan.
Alleyne’s High registered a 5-0 win over Guyana Education Trust. J. Armstrong netted a hat-trick while Trevon Belony tucked in a double.
St. Mary’s High beat Tutorial High by a 1-0 margin through a defence error.
Brickdam Secondary beat Queen’s College 3-1 through a double from M. Hunte and one goal from A. McFarlane.
Queen’s College secured their lone goal from a defence error.
Carmel defeated Lodge CHS 1-0 through a Lloyd Yard goal.
The competition will continue with eight matches this afternoon.
The opening encounter from 4 pm brings together Campbellville Secondary and St. Joseph’s High.
The other matches on the card will see Queen’s College taking on Covent Garden, Zeeburg facing Christ Church Secondary, Golden Grove coming up against Brickdam Secondary, St. Stanislaus College meeting St. George’s High, Carmel CHS opposing North Ruimveldt, Lodge CHS meeting Tucville, St Barnabas facing Charlestown and Kingston opposing South Ruimveldt Secondary.
