Dear Editor,
I refer to a letter captioned “I signed a Letter of Intent with BMW since December 2005 to establish Prestige Motors” (07.023.11) in which it was stated that Prestige Motors, Inc. was the official supplier of BMW vehicles in Guyana.
As a prospective buyer for one of the used Government purchased Prestige Motors, Inc. BMW vehicles which I expect will be offered for sale at the end of CWC, I would like if Mr. Vishok Persaud, who penned the letter, could elaborate through your medium whether Official Supplier of BMW AG of Germany implies official ‘Authorized BMW Dealer in Guyana’.
It was further stated that Prestige Motors have well trained employees knowledgeable with BMW vehicles. It will be useful if Mr. Persaud could assure prospective buyers of these cars that Prestige’s trained technical personnel will be available to offer after sales service including availability of adequate spare parts. He could also elaborate on Prestige’s workshop indicating the diagnostic and other specialized equipment which has been installed to service these complex vehicles and truly make them “the ultimate driving machine”. Hopefully, he has not collected his commission like so many before him and is heading into the sunset leaving behind a workshop (or no workshop) devoid of skilled personnel and the required tools necessary to provide a quality after sales service.
Yours faithfully,
Charles Sohan
