Dear Editor,
It was with a great sense of pride that I read about the recent bust by customs officers. This shows that all is not lost. There are still genuine, sincere and hard-working public servants, willing to put their life and limbs at risk to enforce law and order.
What I would like to know is what form of compensation will be given to those very officers, who sacrificed their time and energies, and without the support of the police force?
I would fervently hope that they are duly acknowledged and rewarded, so as to encourage them to continue in this manner, and moreso to deter corruption.
It serves to reason, that you cannot pay a hardworking public servant $40,000 to stake-out, seize, confiscate, prosecute and then hand over to the government, amounts like $70,000,000!
Yours faithfully,
Z Hack
