A man who allegedly forced his way into a woman’s home and robbed, raped and sodomised her was yesterday refused bail by Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle at the Georgetown Magistrate’s court.
Terry Abrams, 40, a technician who resides at Tucville Scheme was not required to plead to charges of carnal knowledge, buggery and robbery under arms.
It is alleged that on March 14 at Georgetown he had carnal knowledge of a female without her consent. He also allegedly sodomised the same woman and robbed her of one DVD player, one pair of gold earrings and one gold ring.
The virtual complainant who was present in court said had known Abrams for two months since he frequented her place of business. She said on the day in question she had asked him to help her fetch something and when she turned to thank him he forced his way into her home, pulled out a gun and committed the acts.
Police prosecutor Desiree Fowler objected to bail.
Abram’s bail was refused and his case was transferred to court five for April 20.
