Meanwhile, Essequibo residents told this newspaper that the escapee had been spotted several times at Perseverance on the Essequibo Coast and his appearance had changed a lot.
This newspaper had acquired a photograph of Daniels from Prison Head-quarters and published it, but according to residents, the man now has long hair and has gained weight, which makes him look quite different from the published photograph.
Gajadar’s relatives believe that they police have generally not treated his death and the circumstances surrounding it with much urgency and said they have been told by residents at Perseverance that the man was seen several times in the area visiting another man, who the police had arrested and held for a short while after the murder.
