A fisherman is currently a patient at the Georgetown Hospital nursing gunshot wounds which he said he received while walking along the road with a friend on Tuesday night.
Patrick Sukham, 55, of Albouystown is in a stable condition.
Reports are that around 10 pm Tuesday, a bleeding Sukham arrived at the hospital with a friend.
He had a wound to the head, which required stitches, a gunshot wound to the left shoulder and an injured left hand. The injured man told Stabroek News from his hospital bed yesterday that he was walking along Mandela Avenue with a friend when he heard the sound of a gunshot. Seconds later, he fell to the ground. He said his friend took him to the hospital.The matter was not reported to the police, he said.
