The Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) and the National Sports Commission (NSC) will co-ordinate a mini-cadet, cadet and junior table tennis tournament during the month of April at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
The tournament, which will be held from April 19-22, aims at promoting the sport countrywide and will allow students to participate in categories ranging from 11 years and under to 18 years.
The GTTA/NSC will provide umpires, tables, and balls among other resources to ensure the smooth running of the tournament which will be run on a round robin basis, with the top four teams in each division contesting the semi-finals.
Special prizes and trophies are up for grabs donated by sponsors the Business School and will be presented to the first three finishers in each category, the most outstanding male and female players, the most improved male and female players, the best dressed school and the most disciplined school.
