Sensational stuff at Providence

South Africa eked out a one wicket victory over Sri Lanka despite a sensational bowling performance from Sri Lankan fast bowler Lasith Malinga who created history by becoming the first bowler to take four wickets in four balls in international cricket in the first “Super Eight” match at the spankingly new Provi-dence Stadium yesterday.

Malinga happy but not excited about feat

Sri Lankan right-arm fast bowler Separamadu Lasith Malinga overcame a man- of-the -match controversy yesterday to declare to the local and international media that he was happy with his record-breaking feat at the post-match press conference at the Providence stadium.

The Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) said the water situation remains unchanged and low pressure will continue though there were reports yesterday of some amount of improvement in water delivery to various sections of the city.
