A man who allegedly had a firearm and 12 bullets at Kitty was yesterday remanded to prison by Principal Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle.
Andre Clarke, 34, pleaded not guilty to unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
It is alleged that on June 20 at 19 Goring Avenue, Kitty, he had one 9 mm pistol, serial number KL64461, along with 12 rounds of 9 mm ammunition without lawful authority.
On the day in question CANU ranks had conducted a raid at a home in Kitty where Clarke resides and allegedly found 121 grammes of cocaine along with the firearm and ammunition. He is at present on remand for the possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking. He will return to court on October 8 for this matter.
