A 22-year-old man of Agricola who allegedly sodomised a ten-year-old girl was yesterday remanded to prison by Principal Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle.
Roy Rahaman, 22, of Agricola was not required to plead to buggery when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
It is alleged that on September 24 at Georgetown, Rahaman buggered the girl. Rahaman told the court that he is married and has two children.
Police prosecutor Sherwin Matthews objected to bail saying that the offence was committed on a juvenile and Rahaman may not turn up for his case.
The case was transferred to Court Five for October 31.
