On a brighter note, it was the local craft exhibitors who to my mind stole the show namely Jah Works and Burrowes School of Art graduate from a few years ago, Stonewall Michael who specialised in ceramics craft.
His creativity was such that for a moment I thought that he should be elsewhere around the globe for what he is professed doing and had there been an award to be given out for creativity, hands down, it was definitely this art graduate who deserved that award.
The Guyana Police Force and Immigration Office also did well with their educational information and it will do our society good to take it to schools in Guyana.
After speaking to a few persons, they all complained about the prices for the booth spaces and maybe the organising committee could review the prices for 2008 and in one way it might open up for additional business enterprises to come on board.
To the local craft specialists, begin your preparations for Carifesta 2008 for that is another event to showcase your respective talents to regional counterparts and hopefully additional visitors.
