The Guyana Cricket Board/Republic Bank (Guy) Limited-sponsored Right Start under-15 Inter Secondary school cricket competition continued on Wednesday and Thursday at the Guyana National Industrial Corporation ground. On Wednesday Queenstown Secondary defeated St. Joseph High by 161 runs. Batting first, Queenstown made 271-8 off their 40 overs with Khemraj Ramdeen contributing 103 with 12 fours and 4 sixes. He received support from Quason Anthony who made 93 with 8 fours and 6 sixes. Bowling for St Joseph, Shaquille Williams took 4-47.
In reply Queenstown were bowled out for 110 in only 14 overs. Winston Forrester top scored with 36. Williams returned with the bat to make 30.Meanwhile on Thursday, Carmel Community High defeated Nehemiah Comprehensive by 218 runs. Carmel batted first and made 271-7 in 34 overs. Gavin Charles led the way with 81, with Gavon Charles making 43 against the bowling of Kenny Wong 3-37 and Joshua David 2-44.
Nehemiah in reply were scuttled out for 53 in 10 overs. None of their batsmen were able to stand up to the bowling of Gavin Charles 3-4 and Deonarine Persaud 3-17 bowling for Carmel.
