The Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) has shortlisted 24 players to prepare for the upcoming visit of a Trinidad Over-35 rugby team.
Practice sessions will commence today from 10am at the National Park rugby playing field and will continue at 4.45pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The squad will be under the guidance of coach Alton Agard with Christopher O’ Donoghue as the physical instructor.
The Over-35 Trinidad Enthusiasts Rugby Football Club will visit Guyana from October 26-29 for a one-game fixture on October 27.
The players invited to trials with a view to being selected to represent Guyana are:Noel Adonis, Laurence Adonis, Conrad Arjoon, Ovid Austin, Leonardo Butcher, Stephen Butcher, William Blackman, Peter Campayne, Mark Drakes, Vernon Duncan, Alair George, Kenneth Grant-Stuart, Alex King, Wesley Licorish, Stuart May, Terrence Mc Almont, Robin Roberts, Gilbert Sampson, Colin Sultan, Bertram Taylor, Henry Wilkie, Michael Whitehead, Gregory Wills and Troy Yhip.
Practice sessions will be held on Sundays as of October 7 commencing at 10am and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 16:45 hours.
The coach is Alton Agard with Christopher O’Donoghue as Physical Training Instructor.
