Dear Editor,
In April this year my sister-in-law packed and sent a barrel from New York, USA through the Sureway Shipp-ing Company. After about six weeks I started to call the company’s office here in Guyana to enquire about the arrival of the barrel.
I did not experience one bit of customer courtesy from this shipping company and have not received my barrel. I started to seek those answers from Sureway Shipping but was met with my call being deliberately hung up or the phone was left to ring out. I am fed up with Sureway’s service. On numerous occasions they promised to have my barrel delivered at my home, but those were all empty promises. At one point they said that they brought my barrel to Berbice, but could not find the address, hence they had to take it back to Georgetown.
My sister-in-law has been trying to enquire as well from NY but she is also experiencing the same poor customer service I am getting here. I note that other customers have been getting the same treatment.
Yours faithfully,
Dalip Singh
