Four cows were last evening killed and six persons injured after a Route 42 minibus spun out of control around a turn at Land of Canaan on the East Bank of Demerara.
The vehicle, BHH 9654, was filled with passengers, some from Timehri, and was headed in that direction when the driver lost control after the cows became visible.
Last evening relatives flocked the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation to ensure that those involved in the accident were out of harm’s way though several of them suffered only minor injuries.
The well-known turn at Land of Canaan usually has many animals ambling at nights.
The injured were treated and sent away.
