Dear Editor,
I just read Mr Corbin’s letter captioned “I have never discussed with President Jagdeo the issue of a third term” (07.10.09). That letter tells me two things: (1) that Mr Corbin and Pres. Jagdeo are not speaking directly on the issue of a third term. Intermediaries may be carrying on the conversation so that both can truthfully make denials. (2) That Corbin’s price for agreement is shared governance.
So if they can strike a deal we can expect to see Mr Jagdeo there again for a third term.
Yours faithfully,
Kumar Doobay
