National all-rounder Lennox Cush has been selected to lead a Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) XI against the Windward Islands in a 50- over-a-side practice game tomorrow at the Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) ground Bourda.
Cush, a member of Guyana’s Stanford Twenty20 team which won the inaugural competition, and a regular member of the national team for a number of years, has, owing to poor fitness and a lack of form failed to find favour with the national selectors for the Guyana team to contest the upcoming KFC regional limited overs championship which commences on Tuesday. He, however, has been asked to continue training with the Guyana/Stanford Twenty 20 squad and will have at his disposal, Steven Jacobs who will be at the helm of the West Indies Under-19 squad in the same tournament, Ravi Sarwan (brother of national and West Indies captain Ramnaresh Sarwan), Twenty 20 team mate Orin Forde and the diminutive Everest Cricket Club’s wicket keeper-batsman Joseph Perry.
