A Dion Alfred hat-trick for Alpha United, which helped his team defeat GFC 3-1 was the major highlight of the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) Chubby U-13 league which continued with another five matches at the Tucville ground on Saturday.
Alfred opened the scoring in the 20th minute but Daniel Austin equalized two minutes later.
Alfred then returned to score in the 39th and 41st minutes to seal victory.
In other results Thomas United defeated Camptown 3-0 with goals from Romario Andrews, Devon Harry and Kevin Andrews.
Uprising got past Renaissance 2-0 through goals from Kurt Thomas in the 18th and Darryl Harris in the 41st.
Fruta Conquerors led by goals from Colin Fraser 10th, Jermaine Lynch, 12th, Nicholas Julian, 24th, Lequan Glasgow, 32nd and Eon Graham, 55th, swamped Pele 5-0.
And Santos won by walkover against Western Tigers who failed to show up for their third consecutive match.
In the GFA De Sinco U-17 League, there were wins for Beacon, Fruta Conquerors, Alpha United, Pele and GFC.
At the Tucville ground, Pele registered their fourth victory, a 10 – 0 drubbing of Renaissance, their second victory by that margin.
There were two hat-tricks with Dexter Melville scoring his in the, 18th, 25th and 47th minutes and Devon Moseley in the 58th, 62nd and 70th minutes.
The other goals were scored by Nelson Mc Kinnon in the 15th and 28th minutes and Rawle Adams in the 50th and 65th minutes.
Conquerors trounced Thomas United 4-0 with Eon Alleyne scoring a hat-trick in the 23rd, 61st and 67th minutes and Kavin Hackett in the 70th minute.
Over at the Camptown ground, Alpha United’s Andrew Murray Jnr’s double in the 23rd and 29th minutes, Frank Dover’s 49th and 55th minutes strikes and Seon Peters sixth, Victor Higgins in the eighth and William Stewart in the 31st were o n target in the 7-0 thrashing of Santos.
And at the GFC ground, goals from Marlon Johnson in the eighth and Matthew Cato in the 37th saw the hosts defeat Western Tigers 2-0.
