The People’s Progressive Party in extending Eid Mubarak greetings observed that the month of fasting served as a reminder that “millions of our brothers and sisters are still suffering in the world.” “It must also motivate us to fight against these evils,” the PPP added.
“The month of Ramadan urges us to offer material help to the needy and the poor in our midst,” the PPP said, noting that sympathy to the economically less fortunate and more depressed segments of society is a laudable effort of the Muslim community in their belief and value system.
The party also saluted the Muslim community on the “month of self-sacrifice and internal reflection” which it pointed out is “aimed at creating a more equitable, peaceful and just society where all are respected.”
