Mr. Al Creighton has an interesting section in his letter to the Stabroek News of Thursday, October 4. He wrote; “On the day of the robbery (at UG) when Kaieteur News visited the bursary, Mr. Benjamin happened to be present and was interviewed. When the paper looked for a lecturer to give another perspective on things, they found Mr. Kissoon. A day or two later the same newspaper visited Turkeyen and went to get a photo of the closed back-gate. It was another very happy coincidence that at the very moment they went there, Benjamin just happened to be there. The paper seized the opportunity to photograph and interview him again. Then, when they went in search for another interview to balance the picture, by yet another stroke of serendipity, Mr Kissoon happened to be nearby and available. It must have been a pity for the newspaper though, that no one else was available on campus for those interviews
