The Public Utilities Commission (PUC) will today visit Hague Back, Cornelia Ida and De Kinderen/Met-en-Meer-Zorg for a first-hand look at the water supply situation there.
In recent weeks, residents of these areas have complained and protested over the lack of potable water supply.
A release from the PUC said it is expected that representatives of Guyana Water Inc will be present.
The PUC said it had earlier in the year visited Parika/Met-en-Meer-Zorg and nearby areas and an undertaking had been given that the matter would have been under control. โThe Commission has learnt via press reports that all is not well and hopes to learn what are the real causes which contribute to the suffering of the citizensโ, the PUC said.
