Dear Editor,
I am troubled by the AFC complaint that GECOM is ignoring their claim to access funds provided for scrutineers , for the house to house registration.
They claim that GECOM intends to hand over these specific scrutineering funds to the PPP and the PNC (as head of the opposition parties), the latter of which will decide how the funds are allocated to the other opposition parties.
One would have thought that the extremely bright individuals at GECOM could come up with a fairer distribution of the cheese – ie 5 seats represent 7.69% of parliament and if they were really being fair and gave back the Linden seat they lent to the Prime Minister, the AFC would receive 9.23% of the available funds.
Yours faithfully,
Rae Asplin
