Fruta Conquerors secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over defending champions Alpha United in the feature match of a triple header in the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) Premier League competition on Friday at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground.
In the supporting game Santos and Camptown played to a 1-1 draw.
In the opening game Beacon and Buxton played to a 1-1 draw in a Group ‘B’ match of the GFA Supligen competition.
Play in both competitions continues today at the same venue.
From 7.30 pm GDF will oppose Western Tigers in the feature game while in the first of two Premier League Cellink Plus matches bottom of the table Police will tackle unbeaten Pele.
And, in a Supligen U-20 round-robin encounter, Santos will oppose Uprising.
