Victory Valley Royals (VVR) moved to the top of the points standings with 18 points after defeating New Ballers 90-68 on Friday night at the Mackenzie Sports Club hardcourt in a match of the Linden Amateur Basketball Associa-tion/National Communi-cations Network second division tournament.
Dwight Cooper, scored 24, Chris Williams,17 and Mark Richards,13 were the top scorers for VVR while Shawn Etienne,19, and Eon Reddock and Errol Dryden scored 14 points each.
And, Patriots won for the second time in a week when they defeated Constabulary Clippers, 68-42.
Seon Charles, 22, and Domain Allen,10, were the principal scorers for Patriots while Omal Bakker scored 10 points for Clippers.
In another match the Kashif and Shanghai Kings beat the Wismar Pistons 63-56 with Curtis Gravesande, 20, Ashton Angel jnr. 17, and Sean Muss, 11 the principal scorers while Ruel Fryer, 18, and Quincy Richards, 15 were the top shooters for Pistons.
Block Two Flames defeated Watooka Toucans 67-58 with Aubrey Johnson, 23, Devon Morrison, 21 and Randy Allen, 14 the top shooters.
For Toucans, Stephan Henry scored 20 points and Royston Retemeyer, 11.
