Dear Editor,
It is so sad that none of the three daily newspapers seemed to have recognized as a human person, the unborn child who perished in the recent road carnage on the east coast. Not only the newspapers, but also almost every person you speak to about the accident are counting six dead.
To many of us, the unborn child particularly at the advanced stage of pregnancy of eight months is no different to a grown adult where life is concerned.
I think that we should be respectful and adjust the statistics to read “seven dead”.
Yours faithfully,
Francis Carryl
