Alonzo Greaves defeated a strong field to win the 30-lap event for seniors at the Troy Humphrey/James Fowler memorial cycle extravaganza staged yesterday at the National Park Circuit.
Greaves took the event in one hour, 11 minutes and 50 seconds and bagging four prime prizes in the process.
Second position was occupied by Warren Mc Kay who took five of the prime prizes while Junior Niles was third.
Andrew Persaud, Ian Jackson and John Charles took the next three places.
Rounding out the top 10 were Tyrone Hamilton, Darren Allen, Robin Persaud who claimed the final prime prize and Tyrone Conway.
In the combined juniors/juveniles category Geron Williams was the winner of the 10-lap event in a time of 52 minutes 26 seconds with Christopher Holder second and Enzo Matthews third.
Williams captured two prime prizes, Holder one and Matthews four.
Kennard Lovell won the veterans Over-35 five-lap event from Linden Blackman and Virgil Jones while the veteran’ O-45 event over a similar distance was won by Compton Persaud from John Lewis and Aubrey Springer.
Shawn Frank took the BMX four-lap event from Kester Croal and Jamal Bentley while the BMX Open three-lap event was won by Jonathan Fagundes from Ozia Mc Aulay and Jamal Cromwell.
In other BMX results Asif Shaw captured the 12-14 year-old three lap event from Kunta Mc Kenzie and Ryan Bhagwandin while Anthony Freeman was the winner of the 9-12 year-old event. Second was Orlando King and Tariq Baksh.
Krystal Blackman was the winner of the BMX girls 7-12 year-old event while the BMX 7-9 year-old one lap event was won by Raymond Perry from Dominic Helwig and Ryad Baksh.
