Beacon are the winners of the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) De Sinco Under-17 league competition following their comprehensive 4-0 whipping of Pele at the Camptown ground on Saturday.
Beacon, who ended the tournament unbeaten, were spearheaded by goals from Rawle Adams (27th), Lumumba Hinds (42nd), Marko Marcus (54th) and Godfrey Powers (69th).
Beacon, who recorded eight consecutive wins, ended with 24 points giving coach Gordon Braithwaite the unique distinction of winning two major youth tournaments with different teams following Uprising’s capture of the GFA’s Chubby U-13 league title last week.
In other results GFC with goals from Marlon Johnson, Sherwin Barrow, Yannick Alleyne and Oslyn Robinson defeated Camptown 4-2. Camptown’s goals were scored by Kefa Small.
Alpha United, with a record nine goals from Andrew Murray jnr. mauled Renaissance 13-1 while Western Tigers, with a helmet trick from Manasseh Primo trounced Santos 5-1.
GFC are now on 19 points while Alpha United and Western Tigers are each on 16 points.
